6 amplifiers = Major Electrical Upgrades

Ok below in my sig is what will be going into my dodge stratus. Its got a stock 80 amp alternator. Not going to cut it with the 4KW going through it. I got 1/0 gauge for the big 3, and 3 caps but I am going to sell those for an HO alternator.

My question(s) are what amp alternator do you think I will need?

Where can I find an alternator to fit a dodge stratus.

Are alternators "universal" usually as long as its the 1-wire?

Its my daily driver, I dont really go to many comps. maybe i will once the stuff is installed!

You said stock was 80? so go maybe up to a 110 or 120. Or higher if you want to shell out cash. Don't know where you can get one, but that is my oppinion on how big you should get.

With what you are running, and the amount of pull your car has nothing less than 150 would work in my oppinion. Your car is pulling about 70 to 75 just with the stock systems running the lights on and the a/c-heater on. So you can be assured you are not going to have anything left over for your upgrades. I almost want to say that 150 is still to small.

Next is NO not all alts are universal. They have different case sizes mounting locations and so on.
