Amp Kit and 2 AMP with Distro. Block

Like the Title says, will paypal 2.00 to the first person who tells me exactly what i need.

I have need to connect 2 amps in my car.
Hifoncis bx1500
Phoenix gold Octane R

4ga and 8 ga.

do i need 2 amp kits? or is it better to buy individually? i know i need a distro block.
what about battery terminal clamp?

This is what I would purchase: A length of 2AWG that is long enough to reach from battery to where the amps are. Add a little length for the bends and slight detours that you'll encounter. Also consider running the giant power wire under the vehicle. I've done this a couple of times and it's so nice not having to strip the interior. I would also do the same to the RCA's and the little remote wire as well. Be sure to keep the power wire and RCA's separate. Use rubber grommets where the wires pass through the body. Within 12 inches from the battery you need to install a fuse. You will need one that can handle the current that the two amps will draw. A good guide is look on the amps and see what they require and add them all up to get the approximate figure for the fuse. Now its time for the distro/fuse block. I would use a fuse block. Again look at the amps to see the value of the fuse needed. And the battery terminal clamp should be available where you purchase these accessories. And finally the ground: Some will say run them together and secure at one location. I say keep them as short as possible. Where ever you decide to secure the grounds, You will want to use a bolt & nut w/ lockwashers. Any other means of fastening to the body will just fail over time. Be sure to scrape the paint down to bare metal.

Let me add... my battery is in the trunk. all wiring is in the trunk ( where my factory amp is ) ( BMW) could i ground directly to the battery?

Here's your list: Power and ground conductors (wire)
RCA's (long enough to reach HU)

I can't really see the pic. Is that an extra stud just on the other side of the + wires? If so, then use a ring terminal with a wing nut.: http://www.jlaudio.com/ecs/rt.html

Also if you decide to run RCA cables under the car instead of tearing out the interior, you'll need some plastic "conduit". The kind that is split down the middle.
Don't forget rubber grommets and zip ties to secure wire to underside of car. Be sure to put a remote wire for the amp in the run too!

Yes, you can ground at the battery. Buy another distro. and wire just like +.

I wont be running RCAs, under the car. No need to. All my connections are in the trunk, even my battery. ill be using my stock HU, so no need to run rca to there. I'll be interfacing the OEM HU with an Audio Control EQX. Everything gets plugged into there.

I plan of buying 2 amp kits. 4 and 8 ga.

I understand how to do the wiring, but not the powering.

Does this sound right, Distro block, from distro block to batter = 1/0 wire.
I need a distro block that accpets 1/0 input and has 4ga and 8ga output. i have yet to find a block capable of doing this. If i go with a fused distro block, do i still have to use inline fuses?

i'll try to take better pics of the battery. but from what i saw, i dont see any room where a battery terminal could fit over there. There 1 big connector that fits right over the terminal. On the side of that connector, another power wire branches off.

You need a few feet of the 4ga to run from the battery to the distro: Power Wire Here Since your wire run is so short, you'd be fine with 4ga.

Then you need one of these as close to the battery as possible. You also need a fuse for it; the fuse is to protect the wire, not the amps, so the amperage of the fuse can be as high as the amount of current that the wire can carry.

Then, if you are using 4ga main power wire, you can get one of these fused distro holders and a fuse for the 8ga wire. Again, the fuse is to protect the wire and not the amp; so the fuse size in the distro block can be as high as the amount of current that the 8ga wire can carry, and you can run the additional 4ga for your sub amp out of the side "T" (on the side of the input side) since it doesn't need to be fused (because it can carry the full current of the main power wire safely).

Then you need a few feet of
the 8ga power wire on this page to run from the distro block to the amp for your highs. You'll also need an additional few feet of the 4ga mentioned earlier to run from the distro block to the sub amp.

Then you need to find out if your amps need wire terminals or if they will directly accept the wire.

You will need a few more lenght of wire to run the grounds back of the amps back to the battery. You can either run a ground from both amp to the battery, or run the 8ga and 4ga grounds from the amp to an unfused distro block, then run a single 4ga wire from the distro block back to the battery.

You then also need a one of each of those battery terminals . One for positive, one for negative. From the looks of the pic you posted, those will work for you.....but double check.

Then you just need RCA's and a remote on wire.

i ordered all the above mentioned parts, but im looking at the distro block...


i dont see anywhere how i could hook up 2 - 4 guage wires on the distro block.

it has a "t" but no connection at the other end.

is this the wrong distro. block?

In regards to the one I linked; The "input" side that the 4ga wire connects to has an "input" on the side directly opposite where the fuses go, then two more "outputs" on each side of the input block. You can see it in the pic; look at the bottom left hand corner and you can see where there is a hole in the plastic cover for one of the inputs, then the side opposite the fuses (the side to the left of the side I was just talking about ), there is the "input". Hard to explain, you'll see it when you get it in person.
