need help with setting up 2 6.5" in each door off one amp

i have two 6.5" pioneer premier mids and one tweeter in each door. I have a ZR240 amp to run them. What i want to know is the best way to run these.

I was thinking of running the amp in 2ohm stereo and using the two passive crossovers per door that came with the speakers (however, only running one tweeter on one crossover).

But, i was told that this may sound muddy as both mids will have the same frequencies running through them

My other option was to get a 3 way passive set up and run all speakers off that....i was looking at CDT satnet system for their three ways. Basically, treating the second mid as a 4"...

does anyone have any input into this....other options? recommendations etc

    thanks

I am a little confused with what you are asking. If you speakers came with 2 6.5, 2 tweets, and two crossovers you wire it like this. If each of the crossovers should have 1 input and 2 outputs. 1 of those outputs are for the tweet and 1 of them are for the mid. The input comes from the amp, and the crossover does all the work for you. Just take one channel of the amp hook it up to the input on the crossover and then hook up the appropiate speakers to that crossover. Do the same thing for the other side and your done. If you do not have 2 outputs on the crossover you could run the wire from the amp to the 6.5 and then hook the crossover in parrallel with the 6.5 and put the output to the tweeter. Do that for both sides.

no...it was two sets of components with one set missing the tweeters....

is it wrong to have btoh mids on the same crossover frequency?

if you change the impedance to the crossover you will change the frequency it cuts off.. i can't remember if the freq cutoff is up or down though. just somethin for you to think about before doing this.
