hooking up kenwood equalizer to sony stereo and no amp

I bought a Dodge Dakota and it had an amp under the driver seat all the wiring for a subwoofer running to the backseat and a big wad of wires running to the battery and under the dash and it had a Rockford Fosgate head unit with this Kenwood KGC 4042 a equalizer and I had a major water leak which flooded the driver's side floor none of the components got wet but I pulled all the wires trying to figure out where the water was coming in and decided since I was never going to use the amp I pulled it all out and wondered if I could still hook up the Kenwood equalizer with my new Sony CDX GT 350 MP stereo since the Rockford Fosgate stereo CD player crapped out. Also has infinity tweeters in the doors. I'm an old school hook up the speakers to the radio and be done and looked at the equalizer with the rcaconnectors and saw the sSony has them too but have no idea if it has to have an amp or how to hook the 2 units up with the speakers. I traced the front speakers, rear speakers and the tweeters and have them marked and at the dash stereo ready to go but I'm not getting this at all, I can get the stereo no problem but the equalizer has me baffled.

you will need an amp for the speakers if you want to use the eq. the eq is for low voltage signal and the speakers require a higher voltage to make them properly function.

You may thinking of the old EQ boosters from 25+ years ago, those were wired directly to speakers, but the RCA equipped EQ's need to be ran into an amp like CrossoverOre said above.
