    CCA for a 2200w setup?

I'm looking at running a 1600w amp for my sub and a 640w one for my speakers; the monoblock calls for two gauge and the 4 channel calls for 4 gauge. I was thinking of running 1/0 to a dist. block then the 2 gauge and 4 gauge from there. Anyways, would cca work for this setup? Its as high as i think Ill ever want to go, and i really wanna save the money if I can

Also, where can I find 2 gauge? Everywhere I look it's either 1/0 to 2. Would 2/0 work?

When you get into multiple runs, it's usually cheaper just to get OFC to begin with.

x2 ran 14kw on CCA wire with no issues.

2/0 > 1/0 so no that won't work. Just use 1/0 and trim it down if necessary...

Re: CCA for a 2200w setup?

I would run CCA 0 for your main run and trim it to go into your monoblock, and then for the 4ch a 4ga run from the distro block will be more than sufficient.

I got 2 50' rolls of CCA for $100, which is good up to ~500A.

Even half of that length in decent OFC would be $150+, and only good to ~300A.

Granted, I got my wire on a pre-order. However, if you can find some decent deals, you can really score some savings by using CCA wire.

Could I put a 200a fuse next to the battery only? I can't seem to find a distro that takes 1/0 in and out and has a fuse
