    Static Noise From Pioneer-dehp8600mp Help!!

i purchased a Pioneer 8600mp a couple of weeks ago. I installed it myself and when i turn up the volume to half way there is a continuous static noise from all of the speakers. I hooked up another head unit, (Premier 840mp) and there was static noise as well. When i hooked it up to my friends car there was no static. I don't know what the problem is. Any help? Thanks.

How did you wire the power and ground? Pure power has to come from the battery w/ a correct fuse no more than ten inches from the battery. Using any power source from the fuse box is undesireable. The factory ground wire should also be avoided, run your own to the fire wall, (not the dash supports, they promise ground but are false) use the same guage wire as the head unit on PWR and GRND, use a star washer on a crimped connector, screwed to a shiny sanded surface on the firewall. This is a starting place to stop the noise.
