amp help
I just purchased an alpine mrx-v70 5 channel amp
its wired with a 4awg power cable with 60 amp fuse and 4awg ground as well
I have an alpine cda-9886 headunit with alpine front speakers and polk rear speakers
i have all 4 channels and subwoofer connected to the amp.
it plays perfectly fine and low volumes but once i start turning it up the signal seems to cut out.
the amp is still on, looks perfectly fine.
once i shut the headunit off and start it again, the sound will come back out, until i turn it up loud again
any ideas whats going on?

Re: amp help
likely the speaker wires on the head unit are shorting out. turn off the internal amp and properly cap the speaker wires (individually)
have you been helped by me? i'd love to know. shoot me a PM.
