single alternator vs dual alternators

hello i have 1 240 amp alternator but i need more amps if i add another 240 amp alternator will that help or add 1 400 amp alternator and if i add 2 240 amp alternators make it 480 amps or a strong 240 amps

im looking to power a dd m3b and 2 mtx 3404 amp plus 2 sets of 35 watt h.i.d lights for a 2003 aurora fully loaded i want the volts to be around 14 -15 with out a 16 volt conversion

also i have a yellow top plus a xs power 3100

honestly you may be ok just with a couple more batts with out buying a alt. i would get rid of that yellow top and get a better agm battery for under the hood and another group 31 to go with the one you already have. i have a bc3500d and it drop only to 13.7v @ full tilt and thats at idle, im pretty sure that my amp puls more then your M3b does and my alt is smaller then yours.

and alternator cost 150 another battery cost 350 - 400 plus my hid light take up a lot of juice

well i mean if you can get a alt for that cheap then i mean that would work

i know how to rebuild them the kit cost 120 but it does not drop bad but when the lights are on its drops to 12.5 i dont like that
i think imma run the 2 alts to be safe

Where do you get a kit for that? Jw cuz iv never seen a kit for that kinda stuff.....

How long does it usually take? How hard is it? It sounds kinda fun.

you mean how to rebuild your alternator its really easy thats the 1 i have right now on the car it work fine for my 2 mtx 3404 and a kicker 1500 d with h.i.d lights stays around 14.2 at full tilt

around a half a hour its really easy just dont over toque the screws and your fine its comes with instructions
