    Amp levels

Hi, I'm curious as to where to set the "Low Pass x-over" and "Subsonic x-over" levels on my Kicker DX1000.1, I'm running two 12 inch Rockford Fosgate p3's in a vented box. Previously I had one 12 inch Rockford Fosgate p2 and the amp is currently set for that, sorry if it's a noob question or in the wrong section this is my first time posting on this site, thanks in advance to anyone that might be able to help.

    Re: Amp levels

Low pass should be ~80-100hz, and subsonic should be ~3-5hz below enclosure tuning. What is the range of the subsonic filter on that amp?

What is your enclosure tuned to? I would set the sub sonic filter at 30 if you don't know the tuning.

Ask the person that you purchased it from, or post all of the dimensions so we can tell you. I'm going to assume that it is a prefab and probably tuned ~40hz, so set your SSF to 30 to be safe. Before you purchase something car audio related again ask here, you probably could have gotten much better equipment for the money or at least a nice custom enclosure.

Is it a Rockford Fosgate enclosure?

No it's not but I'm assuming those numbers are just for Rockford Fosgate built enclosures?

Just remember that all enclosures are not equal, and a good enclosure is more important than the subs.

Yeah it doesn't matter what your p3 manual says unless you bought a pre loaded RF enclosure.
