    Help with new subs

installed in my jeep right now i have the mtx audio terminator sub package the amp and box all came together the thing is its never been able to hit the low end bass notes Im guessing because they are low quality subs, but anyways im wondering if i upgrade to more expensive subs but keep everything else the same (box, amp) will it perform any better or would i have to get a new amp and box... i just want subs that dont ever miss certain frequency for example on some songs my subs will move but no sound will come out like 'put on' by young jeezy it cant hit 75% of the bass notes but i can hear them moving.. any info will help thnks i didnt know where else to post this

    Re: Help with new subs

a new sub is going to require a box built just for it for best results.

    Head Unit: Pioneer avh-4300dvd,
Front Stage: Ascendant Audio 6.75", Massive Audio 28mm tweeters
Rear Fill: Massive Audio CK6-3 6x9 Woofers
Amps: PPI Phantom P900.4, Sundown Audio SAZ-2500D
Sub: RE Audio XXX 12" 2.25^3 Tuned to 32

They sell Kicker at Wal-Mart now. That's saying a lot..

No. Not with the results you're wanting. You need a custom box tuned lower than the pre-fab. Do you know the specs on that amp?

What would be your max budget to spend? Thats not much power to work with but there's a few subs that would work with that power.

    Re: Help with new subs

You really have a TON of options to think about. You could go with 8's, 10's, 12's even a 15 and come out with much better output, clarity, and dig deep like you want. The box is really what's going to make or break the wa it all sounds though. Plenty of awesome box builders on this site can design, build, and ship you a awesome box built to spec of your sub/new sub/s.

What size is the current sub?

do you think a single 15 sub of a higher quality and better box would do it without leaving me with less bass like not as loud as 2 12s i had? leaving the amp the same
