how do you run at 14 and 16 volt?
Just wondering how you guys run at 14 volt or 16 volt and is it as advantagous as it seems? I know how its physically done I just want to know personal experience. Also if I have an H/O alt but it isnt externally regulated and it charges at 14.4 is their a way to make it charge at 16.4 safely?

afaik So bassically you have to have an externally-regulated or alt built to charge correctly the correct voltage battery under the hood then a step down to run your stock electronics? I was wondering if there is a way to have a 12 volt in the front and then go 16 in the back but then how would it charge? the idea poped in my head after seeing that crazy stetsom amp that does like 20k watts at 100 something volts, wish i could remember the name to show you guys. Also is running at higher voltage harder on the amplifier? I would assume so since its letting more power through the amp or I could be tottally wrong in saying this

Higher voltage is better for your amp as long is it is within the operating range.
