My amp going into protect only second start.

What are your voltages when it goes into protect?

Should I test the battery or the power wire going to amp?

What type of fuse is it? ANL, Mini ANL? If it's AGU (Glass fuse) you may definitely have a voltage problem.

There is no fuze in the amp just one in the middle of the power wire, it's a maxi pre sure.

That amp will not run at 16 volts. And that is odd if your batteries and alternator aren't 16 volt.

I have a JX1000/1d and when ever I start my car it works fine green light and music bumpin.
I turn the car off to take the bar off, turn it back on and its in protect and wont turn green unless I wait a long time. It only works first start up, I checked the ohms coming from the sub and its a steady 2.0 and also took all the wiring off the amp and put it back on, still nothing.
Really pissed off Iv checked everything I can think, anybody have this prob before?

sounds like you didn't tune your amp properly and its over heating . turn down your gain and see if it continues the same . Not saying you didn't but it is an option

Yeah I didn't tune it, I think It's down already but Il try.

i can't remember where the page is but the amp needs to be tuned and you can do it with a voltage meter I'm sure someone can post the link here

If your voltage is 16 volts and your battery and alternator are 12volt then most likely your alternator is bad. I wouldn't run the vehicle as it may damage other components in the car.

That amp will run safely up to 15 volts.

I had an alternator do that once..I had to turn everything electrical on I could to keep the voltage down..Its the Internal Regulator in the alternator.Its bad..you need to replace it before you burn up the electrical,in the vehicle/wires/brain/ect!

wow i missed the 16 volts . He is pretty lucky that the brain if the car has one hasn't burnt out . that will cost your left nut to fix . OP i would suggest unhooking the alternator and getting it checked out . OR taking the car to auto zone or Advanced Auto and having them do a battery alternator test . they can tell you whats wrong with your alternator if anything is wrong for free
