05 sierra rear door speakers

Well im not too satisfied with my bose rear door speakers.
im getting alot of distortion outta them so I've replaced them with pioneer 6.5.
Only problem is they are fitted in really tight and don't sound really well.
I would like to cut out the door some to give them room and out a 200w amp on them
to get them even with my bass. I just want to get an idea if anyone else has replaced the little
rear door speakers before to see what size and modifications work best.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
