Power Inverter Questions

Hey guys i'm just wondering if i plug a 300w inverter into the 12V outlet in my car will it kill my battery faster than a 140W inverter would? or does it only draw what it needs for the appliance plugged into it?

The 300W will draw more than a 140W as the components are large in scale to handle the apower differenc . With this said that "more power draw" could me Miliamps difference. some companies offer tech spec, not sure if you will find a resting amperage draw.

while the electronics have a higher current rating, it doesn't mean they need more current to operate - it just means they cost more to build. any difference would be negligible.

yes, the inverter only outputs what the load requires.
