OFC is 100% copper. Oxygen Free Copper

Welding wire is fine, Audio wire is fine. You wont notice the difference unless its CCA (copper clad aluminum.)

Yea but he was lookin at 1/0 welding and it takes 2/0 welding to equal most of these oversized 1/0 audio wire

I'd like to see that comparison, because my 1/0 Trystar OFC welding is just as thick as my 1/0 KNU Kolossus and looks equal to every other 1/0 ive fucked wit stinger/kicker. And I'm not even running 250 amps of current thru it anyway (what my welding cable is rated) so I suppose its a moot point

Only appears that way. Car audio specific wire is usually stranded finer, to get a lil bit more flexibility. Let's say you have the same amount of copper, except stranded differently..., one 1000, one 4000. The 4000 strands will look larger, but weigh the same.
