Hey I happen to be in EC too. PM me and tell me more about what you did to try to fix this and what equipment you're running and I'll try to help you out.

a faint snap from what? the subs? hgihs?? i had a BAD ground once and when i turned off and on my system id hear a pop or snap from the subs when the amp turned off and on.

was this setup using a cap from an ac unit? Did it look like a fire hazaard? was it in a GRand prix?
