Hi All,
I recently installed aftermarket HU in my 06 silverado w/ Bose. I used the Metra GMOS -04 interface with no issues. The sound is just not what im looking for so heres my plan.

Install a component set up front powered with a seperate amp ( I will run new speaker wires from amp to new speakers). My thinking is this will allow the factory bose sub and rear door speakers to work while new components work seperately off amp via Preamp connections
My questions are :
Is this a good idea??
Will I lose ability to use the EQ within my HU with new component speakers off the amp?
Will I lose all fader and Balance function within the HU?
