rear fill question

I'm running the rear fill off of the radio, subs off the sub rca output, and fronts off the front rca outputs. How do I go about adjusting the gains on the amps for the subs and fronts with the rears just coming off the radio power? Do I need to fade the rears? In what order should I make these adjustments? Any help would be appreciated.

Make believe the rears aren't even there. Set your HU volume for about 3/4. If the rears distort at that level, turn the HU down until they don't. Fade to front and set the front amp gain. Then fade to center and set the sub amp gain.
