Help with wiring 2ohm or 4ohm DVC subwoofers
I currently have a Kenwood KAC-9105D amplifier and am in the process of getting 2 Rockford Fosgate T112D4 or T112D2 subwoofers. I will be buying one first and installing it, then a 2nd about a month later. How would i go about wiring these subs to get the most power out of my amplifier? What would be the easiest option? to buy 2 ohm or 4ohm? The amp is 1ohm stable.
New to the forum. Thanks!

Are you set on these subs/amp? IMO it would be a waste of money to buy one sub and box and have to get another box when you get 2 too

If you end up getting 2 subs, you're gonna want d4's to wire them down to 1 ohm. But rebel is right. You should get both subs at one time....

I already have the amp, i currently have a box for 2 12"s, just getting these subs to upgrade from my old ones, they were ****** and i fried the voice coils. Its just a funds issue, thats why im buying them one at a time.

I suppose i could just order them at different times an then put them in at the same time. Just a funds issue is all! gotta pay the bills

Re: Help with wiring 2ohm or 4ohm DVC subwoofers
while the amp is a mono amp, it has 2 sets of speaker outputs and i cant seem to find any wiring diagrams that show mono amps with 2 sets of outputs. kinda confusing

Your box. Is it a prefab? You will notice a nite and day difference if you save for a custom. The d2s are not gonna wire down to 1ohm load once you have both. That's another reason why you should save a bit more and get them both at once. Also look into other brands. 2 LIs will blow those RFs away.

Ya its a prefab. I would prefer a custom, but im not exactly at the best location to get a custom box built. Im at a pretty remote base in germany, so a prefab was easier in my case. Alright i will look into the d4's and wiring diagrams on those. LI's? sorry not quite sure what those are.

most mono blocks you see have 2 sets of speaker outputs. They are connected internally. Just makes wiring multiple speakers up easier.
