1 DVC 6.5 midbass on rear channels of HEAD UNIT

Ok so this is my setup right now.

4 channel kenwood amp wired up to my front door speakers and the speakers in the rear deck.

2 channel kenwood amp wired to my two DVC 10" subs in the trunk

Head unit is completely unused as far as being wired to speakers.

However, my car has a 6.5 sub in the middle of my rear deck that is being unused. So I have been thinking about replacing that little sub with a MEMPHIS CAR AUDIO 15-MSYNC6 6.5 to add a little more midrange and make my car sound fuller.

I was wondering if it is possible to wire the two unused rear channels of the head unit to either side of the Memphis 6.5 DVC speaker? In order to run it at 4 ohm?

To try to make this clearer I want to know if I can take the rear left channel and wire it to the left speaker connections...... Then take the right rear channel and wire it to the right speaker connections.

If not how would I wire this speaker? Thanks

I would remove the 6.5, clearing a path for more sound from the trunk. seal up, and deaden, the areas around the front and rear speakers you already have to improve midbass.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm just really wondering if this can be done.

You would need an amp, and the ability to band pass the frequency going to the amp that powers
that speaker. So, short answer, no. Not off the headunit.

av83 so basically there is no way to wire this speaker up at all unless I used an amp, or if the speaker was a 4ohm svc?

I just looked up that Memphis driver. Its not a dvc, according to the description. Its a replacement driver for an msync component set. Used the way you are speaking of, for mid bass, you would need to bandpass a signal in the 70hz to 300-500 hz range, and then amplify it to that driver. But like I said before, you'll get better results with installation efforts on the speakers you already have. I have five speakers in my car. Two tweets, two mids, and a sub. I have pretty decent midbass because I did a couple little simple things to make my mids perform better in the doors that they're installed in.
