I think the best we got is to call crutchfield and they should take care of it. But we don't even know if he bought it from there or used. He didn't give us much.

Might is it just not a good unit and the OP had a little higher expectations

    Re: sub barely audible

We may have scared op off.

I'm guessing a faulty unit and to exchange it for another (assuming you bought it from Crutchfield) or that you have a bad signal coming in from the RCA's, either from the RCA wires to be at fault themselves or they are getting a bad signal out of your headunit.

If you are still around op, explain more what you are hearing. How quiet we talking? Maybe you expect more than was reasonable. but they way you typed it, it seems this may not be the case. Give more info.

My guess it is that 10,000 farad cap you are using. Replace it with three 15,000 farad caps.

Your homies down the road won't be able to show you what's truly up with their 10 CVR-12s in that 4^cube box, after you get those three caps that is.

Actually, with that much storage he could power a LOT.

ok ill type slower to help you understand.

first off, i wasnt about to look up a sub so i gave general advice and i got slammed saying i should hang out more before i post.
(thats where the post count comes from)

and yet the other posts where

    "what amp"
    and another guy said
    "check speaker wiring"

huh check speaker wiring... kinda exactly what i said.

but sql douch decided to single me out.

and i went right back at him.

I dont get butt hurt. sorry seen alot of dumb *** know it alls in the 19 years of doing car audio.

but my issue still stands.. if someone is looking for advice, dont flame someone for giving proper advice on a general scale.

and in fact, if i owned the setup myself, i would **** sure open it up and check whats up inside.

but thats just me.. i do things, not post about how not to post.

    Re: sub barely audible

OP- are you running the rca's from a headunit or a line out converter/ high-low converter? i had an issue with a past install using the converter on a preloaded sub similar to yours..

    Hush Noob!!!

How about this, anytime Sound Ordnance is mentioned it is always a Crutchfield product.

It is either a Bandpass box or a self powered box.

19 years of car audio experience and you do not know that?

Go change your tampon and please be quiet when grown ups are talking.
