Check the fuel pump. Whether the connections there are iffy or your massive bass isn't allow it to function properly. It's a 91 chevy, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to drop in a new fuel pump anyways.

Re: Truck Stutters when Bass Hits

ok, now the symptoms have isolated a bit more... its not so much loud.. i was running at normal volume.. but a new song came on low tone bass.. stutter..

imma check fuel lines and pump..
    gonna check bcm..

also havent tested this without truck moving.
    will do that as well.

Also a quick jab at Skyline.

first I own a car audio shop..
    So this isnt a hobby.

Furthuremore, You never stop learning.. and asking others for advice is how opened minded people work.

Lastly, I had an 88 honda prelude, set records with it.. sponsored by SoundStream.. guess what.. twin draft carburators.. and hmm didnt have this problem..

So to the people helping me with ideas, much appreciated.

And like every other forum. theres always someone who thinks hes god of the forums.. and people kinda laugh at him..

Re: Truck Stutters when Bass Hits

well again, it's a 91 chevy so an O2 sensor among other things could probably use replacing. Glad you got it figured out though!

OBDMII meter works great. I dont think your truck has it seeing as its older than 1996, but for others who may hthink they have a similar issue, buy an OBDMII and plug it into your cars computer. It works for any vehicle over 1996. The plug is usually under the steering wheel, located within 12 inches of either left or right side.

Thing immediately told me low voltage bank in the o2

Turns out, this is exactually what it was... I thought o2.. then it started doing it again... so i went through everything.. except anything behind the cab. then just decided drop the tank.. whoever owned this truck before me decided to cut the fuel pump wires and reconnect them with wire nuts.

    anyhow you were spot on.
