2001 Tahoe aftermarket deck install problems
First off I'd like today that yes I'm an idiot I bought an aftermarket deck to install in my 01 Tahoe I didn't buy a harness so I'm cutting an splicing into factory wires and I can't figure out how to get it to work I found the 12v and the ground it doesn't work I hooked it to the battery to make sure te deck works and it does I can't figure it out I tried googling it and nothing lol any help would be sweet

Wire 12 acc. to starter, or something that comes on with the key. Run power wire either to the fuse box or directly to the battery with a fuse at the end, and run the ground on the frame. Hook the speakers up preferably to an amp with RCA's, and then wire it all up to an amp/s. That's what I did on a car that had no factory wiring left.

Best bet, Reattach your cut off plug.. soder it..
and realize that GMC utilizes multiplexing.. and therefore without the proper harness things like seat position to door chimes and even onstar will fail.
and if you have an oem amp.. ya best just hook it back up.
