I have a 1998 Eclipse that I am making a show car out of. I have decided to go with a dual battery setup. One for main car power and one for stereo system power. I have relocated 2 XS Power batteries behind the front seats and wired a battery isolator for them, only to find out that the stock alternator is internally regulated and will not work. I am looking for ideas and suggestions to get this system to work. I would like to keep the dual battery and isolator setup. Any ideas on an alternator swap? If so, which one? Any help is appreciated.
