Problem with an old Audiobahn amp

well my friend recently gave me an old Audiobahn A2300HCT, i hooked it up to a 10" Alpine Type x sub that was wired to 2 ohms since i didnt want to mess up the sub i wired it to a single channel on the sub that puts out 600w rms instead of the 1200w rms at 2 ohms when bridged.

anyway i hooked everything up and it was working ok i had the volume pretty low since it was late, I drove off so i could test out the sub w/o bothering my neighbors and i notice the sub is not kicking anymore. I pop the trunk and see that the amp is off so i check the 40 amp fuses on the side and all 4 were blown, now i cant recall if it stopped working before i or as i raised the volume since there was no bass in the part of the song i was on when i raised the volume.

i went to walmart because i was all out of 40 amp fuses but they also did not have any and all the autopart stores are closed now so i tried to see if i could try a 30 amp fuse, (now i wasnt sure if i should have removed power from the amp or not) i tried to put the fuse in and it sparked i figured it would do that since it had power but it sparked again about 3 more times before i gave up trying to put the fuse in and i notice the tip of the fuse was melted but the fuse itself was not blown.

maybe the amp is bad i dont know but some help would be awesome cause i want some bass! thanks

Note to self, sparks=no good. Follow your gut and unplug. Shouldn't be just blowin fuses like that. Dropping the amps for convenience isn't Necessary either. You need to figure out why you're drawing so many amps even when playing so low before you worry about replacing them.

If the fuses are blowing or sparking that bad when you put them in there is a good chance the power supply is shot and there may be other failures as well . If you troubleshoot and decide it is the amp thats bad I would be interested in buying it as is possibly.

well im a noob when it comes to sound systems, i was more into track racing with cars so i never had systems now that im older i have a comfy Mercedes for my Daily Driver i wanted some nice tunes.

anyway what could make it blow the fuses? what could cause my amp to pull so many amps. I understand people dont like Audiobahn but hey for me its just a free amp lol

i think i found the culprit (from left to right Ground, Remote, Power)

how would i go about fixing this i may not have much experience repairing amps but i am good with my hands i am a mechanic and the way i see it its already broke so i cant make it much worse lol.

how so? if it dosnt work its garbage how can it be worse then that?
