stock alt, 1 yellow top for 1500 rms?
so i got 3 alpine type r 12's in a 7.2 cubic feet box tuned to 35 hertz, i was wondering if my stock alt and a yellow will be enough to run about a amp that is around 1500 rms. im still not sure what amp to run. do you guys know any good budget amp that its maybe under 200 bucks and that can push my 3 alpines (2012 model). they are dual 2 ohms i have them wire at 1.33 ohm load.

that will be fine... just make sure you do the big 3 upgrade. and you can pick up a Audiopipe APSM-1500 for $122 shipped new on ebay with warranty

Definitely big 3. What size is your stock alt? And those Type R's will want more, won't they?

Just keep an eye on your voltage, you should be fine if you don't have a tiny Geo Metro stock alternator lol. Big 3 is a must, you will definitely be better off doing so, as well as your cable runs, all utilizing 1/0 cable of course. Though a small supplemental battery tucked away isn't a bad idea, but probably not needed.
Your three woofers will easily be able to take more than 1.5kW though, if they are the latest models, you could actually DOUBLE the power you plan to run, however, charging system upgrades will certainly be a must then :)
