double din wiring

i just bought a pioneer avh-p3400 double din deck and i am installing it in my 2007 silverado classic and am wondering if it would use the same wiring kit and interfae as a single din deck would?

the only thing that could possibly be different would be.

1. If you want need to ground a parking break wire for DVD play back

2. Navigation ( which your new radio doesn't have)

Also u may need to cut out the wall behind the deck for room for wires. I got the 4300 and had to do that. Mainly for the rcas.

also a toggle switch for the dvd ground

theres tons of modules to bypass that brake switch on ebay. or you could just wire it to the brake switch. i chose that route. just because i feel like itll get me in trouble otherwise and i dont really need to watch a movie while going 80 on the highway lol.

Just connect the pink wire with ire ground wire or ground it same difference !

this doesnt work always ,you need to break the connection when you start the car ,thats why the toggle switch

i have an avhp 4100 dvd and if you want the dvd to play while driving thats how you make it work

Wow thnx i have a single din sound stream an it works fine on the start up but fOr sum reason it only shows video to the other screens wen I play the video an not while I cruise through the main menu any ideas ???

try the toggle on the brake ground wire .put the toggle in between the deck and ground point ,just switch it on and off.it works on soundstream decks too
