    Pioneer DEQ-7600

I thinking about upgrading my system and I'm debating if I should get a new head unit. I purchased a Pioneer DEQ-7600 from a friend of mine for $110.00 and is currently running with my Sony receiver (don't now the exact model) which has 2 sets of outputs (front/rear) and 7EQ. Now the Pioneer DEQ only takes one input from the receiver and it splits it into three outputs (front/rear/sub). My question is, am I loosing some of the frequencies from the receiver to the EQ? Because I'm only using one output out of the two i.e. there might be some freqs. going the front and others the rear at any particular song. Or music freqs. Only go from left to right in a car stereo? If not, should I down grade to a single output CD receiver?

Check out Pioneer's website for a manual, to see if it does any filtering, and if yes, if it can be defeated. If it does, then this might be just the excuse you needed to improve your system

Stereo is only left/right channels, so that's not an issue. The Sony might have a HPF for the front pre-out. If it does, make sure it's off or set to full range or whatever Sony calls it.
