grab two quality 8's or 10's and get a custom box under the back seat. I will get nice and loud in there.

Hmm.. boomboom21, what are you trying to accomplish exactly? I understand you want "SPL" so are you looking to be competing only? Do you just want to be more so loud than to have SQ?
Whatever you do, do not put three different subs in the same enclosure, lol. That is not a good way to become louder.

Lol. My system wouldn't impress anybody from loudness, it's about the Ess Que (going to do an IDMAX hopefully to replace the Type-R). It's still "very loud" to anybody that hasn't heard a proper system, and will embarrass a BestBuy prefab and Kicker square combo, but is nothing huge. It's loud enough for me though.
OP, you're probably better off doing something in the cab, a pair of GOOD 12s in the cab will be much louder than 3 cheap 15s in the bed. Not to mention stealing that box from the bed would be pretty easy, it would be an easy smash and grab for any thief, something you don't want to be a victim of.

holy redneck thread.

A typical "blow through" will normally garner a 3db loss vs. having the same cone area in the cab. If you can lose the back seat, build in the cab and you'll like it. I'm currently building a hybrid that will put all of the cones and port along with 1/2 the box in the cab similar to my current setup. I'm using the front half of the bed for the rest of the box volume.
Stupid Loud.
I'm mad. On the other hand.. Just take into consideration what some of the more reputable members have to say, i'm sure they will make their way in here soon enough.
Lets just say that there is a lot of basics to learn etc, and i'm sure a lot of these people could help you acheive your goals.
Good luck with your build though man! Just kinda stray away from anything you were planning to do previously.. to get loud its going to take a lot more than a few mis matched subs..
Also, what amp will you be using? sorry if you stated this before, I might have missed it.
