external amplification is almost always better. You will be able to bring out the actual potential of the speaker and cut down on distortion, enhancing the sound and prolonging the life of the speaker
Ok thanks my h/u has an external amp but u cant adjust anything on it and its tiny
what kind is it, like an alpine power pack?
Nah its a cheapy its a power acoustic but so far its been a good h/u and eveything its the 8.3" touchscreen
Oh, but the amplifier for the speakers is located outside of the HU housing?...like there are two pieces to the HU?

Not uncommon with those types of head units. A decent external amp will help achieve better clarity at higher volumes. But if you are happy, you don't NEED an external amp.
have you been helped by me? i'd love to know. shoot me a PM.
