Yesterday I recieved a Pioneer AVIC-D3 and so I decided to put my set together. I have a new Kicker 10ZX350.4, two Alpine SPS-507 6x8's, two JBL GTO938 6x9s and a Clerion EQS740 EQ. I completed the task of wiring and everything came on. When I tried to play music I couldn't hear anything but a low and faint static. After a while of adjusting things (checking the grounds, connections etc.) I could hear the song playing very lowly but there was still a lot of static. After that I tried running the RCA's directly to the deck instead of through the EQ. I got a clearer sound and there was barely any static. I then noticed that only two RCA's are controlling all 4 speakers. There are gain knobs for each pair of channels on the amp and one would increase the volume for the front and one for the back. What confuses me is that this is only through one pair of RCAs and the other one isn't doing anything at all. I decided to switch everything back to the EQ and I can now get sound but it contains a large amount of static..and its still through that one pair of RCAs. When I switched them with the other pair everything still worked through the same side with the other ones being useless so I don't think the RCAs are bad. I just don't understand how all 4 channels are working off of one pair of RCAs and how I can get good sound when I run the RCAs straight to the deck but not through the EQ. I got rid of the engine whine also and I would really like to be able to use my EQ.
Also there is always that low feint music playing from my rear right speaker..even when i dont have any rcas plugged in you can still hear it
