Problem with hooking up 2-15's
I have a 2000w autotek amp that was pushing a 15" American Bass XO sub. I had that for 3 weeks and then today bought the same one again. When I had just one, it worked and sounds fine, but as soon as I hook up the second sub, the bass gets real weak and it sounds bad. The subs are rated at 1000w max, which is what I have going to each one. I tried adjusting the amp but it doesn't seem to fix it. Help please or else I'll just spend 50$ to get it looked at and fixed.
Re: Problem with hooking up 2-15's
Make sure you have the subs wired correctly. Maybe you have them wired at the wrong ohm load. Also if this is ur amp - http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-AUTOTEK-ATX2...item35b1b34b16
Then at a 1ohm load you are prob getting around 1000watts not the 2000 they advertise. If it’s an old school autotek then you might be getting a real 2k but if it’s one of the new lines then sry its not going to happen.

Alright I'll go make sure right now, the amp I have is this - Autotek at 2000 1 at Series Monoblock Amplifiers
But even if it does not put out the 2k it says, the subs are only rated at 500w each and i have 1k going to each sub. Thank you.
Re: Problem with hooking up 2-15's
1 might be wired wrong or out of phase of the other.
Re: Problem with hooking up 2-15's
try fliping the wires around on one of the subs. Some boxes need to be wired as a push and pull to get loud
