yea, def fused for the wire... but for the alt to batt... up for debate...
it all depends on what your going to run, what batt, what alt, how many batts, what amp. more definitive info would help

sorry I don't always ask questions right,
I mean if I were going to run just one battery like this
stock battery (don't have the stats on that)
stock alternator (70-80a)
for now I will be running my audiobahn amp which is 400 watts @ 4 ohm
if I went with that set up and say I do a 150A fuse, would I then have to upgrade the fuse if I added a second battery?
wow.... so...pressed the submit reply button once.
150 amp fuse is way too big for a 400 watt amplifier. That amp probably will never draw more then 40 amps if everything is set properly (more then likely it will be around 30 but just rounded up to 40 to be safe).
i wasnt talking about the fuse to protect the amp... he was asking before about running a fuse inline with his big 3, to protect the batt/alternator
yeah.. I figured it would get confusing but I didn't see the point in starting a whole nother thread for it. I appreciate everyones help this forum has helped me learn a lot and kept me from buying things I don't need that others try to sell me
