The reason for running through the batt is to remove the ripple in current from the alternator.

Also people are forgetting that drawing 300 amps of current isn't just 15 ft to the back of the car....it is 30 ft as a closed loop back to the front of the car on the negative.

Was looking back and thought I would update this thread with what I did. I now have 2 runs of Pos and 2 runs of Neg to the back batts.

two runs 0 gauge neg

Mine is gunna be changed to 1 run of 2/0 welding cable for 3000+

1/0 welding wire pure copper ofc 2 runs of positive too runs of negative with sundown saz 4500. and too back batts ups 370
