    60/40 vs 80/20 vs lead free

    whats the best solder to use for power wire and smaller gauge speaker wire..i have lead free at the moment because its the most expensive so i figured it was the best..but ive seen people use more 60/40 and 80/20..

    60/40. Lead free = tin whiskers, more brittle, less reliability, requires higher temp soldering iron to flow properly.
