BIG INSTALL... NEED OPINION/HELP 2 FI BTL15's with an MA 5000 Watt Amp

So heres the thing. I have built my boxes for these bad boys.. The boxes are 5 Cubic Ft each and tuned to 32 Hz... The recommendation for the amp power wise to reach its full potential is 17 Volts to hit my 4400 Watts RMS...

I want to know what I should do to get rid of the dimming in my vehicle... 98 Lincoln Navi... This system consumes so much power its ridiculous. I'm thinking a 300 Amp alternator will help me with this issue.??? As well as upgrading the BIG 3 from 4 AWG to 0 AWG... ANY IDEAS as to how I should wire this up properly???

Scratch that, I am going with a 250 Amp alternator... With one battery, stinger sp 1200... Is this sufficient enough to get rid of my dimming, and supply enough power to my amp?

What does the amp do at 14v? No point in looking at the 17v rating when you're not running that voltage.

huh? dont even think of 17 volts man...you cant really even reach 17 volts unless you go with some rigged batteries and such. And what amp?

My FI BTL 15's (2) are dual voice coil 2 ohm... I have them wired at One ohm to the amp.. The amp puts out 1400 RMS x 2 chan. Since the subs are not half ohm stable, I have no choice but to pump the 1400 correct? What would be a sufficient size of an alternator to power these subs, and my components.. also, what do you think about an EPICENTER?

I'm off base? Ok well let's see. First off, 2 dual 2's wire to 1 ohm each. So you're either running .5 or 2 ohm total. It's a 2 channel so I'll assume it's 1 ohm per channel. Subwoofers aren't "stable" at any ohm. Stability refers to the amplifiers ability to play a given load. Subwoofers wire to given loads, nothing unstable about it. If your amplifier puts out 1400x2 at 1 ohm, that's all it's got.

17v involves a new alternator, a step down mod, and a bank of 16v batteries. Feel free if you want.

Or, get yourself a 250amp alt from Mechman or DC, and 2 XS Power D3100's, 0 gauge throughout including the big 3, and there you go.

But then again I'm probably off base..

The subs are in seperate boxes, wired at 1 ohm each... Doesnt that mean I'm putting a 1 ohm load on the amp? and not two, considering these are not parallel nor series... but seperate

Let me run this by you... My buddy has a stinger 1700sp battery and a regular car battery in his navi... Good idea to mismatch batteries when wiring them together??
