    Amp->Subs question

    Is 12awg wire thick enough, i'll be using a kx600.1 to power 2 (12) Kicker Comp Vrs. Oh and wiring them, I have to dual 2 ohm versions and plan on wiring them like this but my question is where the wires going from the amp to the subs, where they branch off. Is it okay to run pos/neg to the first ring terminal, then a seperate wire from that same ring terminal to the second, or will the 1st sub end up with more power?

    Re: Amp->Subs question

    12ga will be plenty. As for the routing of the wiring, as long as the dual coils of each sub are wired in series as shown in the diagram, you can either run the wire to the first sub's pos and neg and the to the second sub's pos/neg, run two sets of wire to the amp, or run wire from the amp to a barrier strip and then on to each respective sub. Any of the above will result in the parallel wiring of the subs. Electricity depends on relative resistance, not order of routing fro determining power distribution, so just cause it is wired a bit closer doesn't mean it will get more power.

    Wait so let me make sure this is okay. I run a wire from the pos/neg of my mono amp, to pos/neg of sub #1. Then can i just take another wire and wire pos/neg of sub #1 to sub #2...? Correct me if i am wrong.
