Need help wiring subs and amp to stock Head Unit

I have a 2001 audi a4. I have the stock 2001 audi a4 headunit. I purchased an 8 gauge complete wiring kit, a 12" kicker cvr with a ported box and a 760 watt pioneer amplifier. I want to wire this to a stock head unit. How can i do this?

    Is your system non-Bose?
    If So....
Invest in a Line Input Converter, this will allows you to tap into the signal wires coming out of the back of your factory HU. Basically it coverts the signal to a low level or rca output. The coverters also help to block some of the feedback picked up between the hu and speakers.

    Left Front- Blue/brown

    Right Front + Red/gray
    Right Front - Brown/gray

After you have integrated the converter into the factory speaker harness you can now hook in your rca's and route them to the amp mounting location. Now for the rest of the wiring, run the +12v constant from the proper terminal on the amp to the positive lead on the battery. Run the ground wire from the - terminal on the amp to a good grounding location on the chassis, try to keep the ground length under 3ft. Last is the remote wire, your switched accesory wire on your radio harness is a Black/red wire, tap into this one and route to the amp, hook on to the proper terminal.

Will the Line Input Converter work the same as a Line Output Converter? I have heard about three converters now. A High-Low Converter, A Line Input Converter, and a Line Output converter. I purchased a PAC SNI-35 Adjustable 2 Channel Line Out Converter. I was wondering if this will work?

I'm sorry my bad, yes a line output is what you need. I didnt catch that, typed that up about three in the morning the other night lol.

That converter looks just fine to me, good luck with your install and if you have any questions feel free to drop me a question.

Pretty much its the same thing as a high level input, instead of using rcas for the amps input you have the ability to use speaker wire as the inputs, all you have to do is tap into your rear fill or access speaker wires behind the head unit and then connect into the corrosponding channel on the speaker level inputs on the amp if your amp has it. Im not sure if it does or not, if you can take some pictures of the amp and post them I may be able to help.

if not i would go to the back 2 speakers and add a extra speaker wire for 2 channel and run those wires to the input adapter

Re: Need help wiring subs and amp to stock Head Unit

Yah there is a few ways you can do it..LOC, line out converter, by itself and tapped into the wires to feed rcas back to amps. Or in my situation I picked up a few audiocontrol pieces..LC7i & Epicenter and will have these ran from factory setup to my rear amps. But of course you don't have to just go with audiocontrol because there are a few others that make 'like' equipment.

If you have a pdf reader this might help to understand oem integration (this is specific to my setup):

    https://rs6.eporia.com/company_38/5%20OEM%20Systems.pdf

    EDIT:

I just reread - and if all you want to do is setup your sub...then if you have factory sub - cut the wires at that sub and tap into them there to run your new sub.

Re: Need help wiring subs and amp to stock Head Unit

Sorry, dont mean to hijack the thread, but this directly applies to the question I had which I cant seem to find an answer for anywhere:

I have an Acura TL 04 with Navi. I have a 12" sub, amp, and LOC. HU is stock. Is this all I need to do:

disconnect the stock sub and insert the LOC at this point, then connect the RCAs from the LOC to the amp? Where is an appropriate place to run the Remote wire to in an Acura TL?

Mainly, I am wondering, do I need to do anything with the factory amp or can I ignore it completely and leave it as it is?

    Thanks
