Toyota Camry 98 alarm comes on with power wire from sub

Ok, we just installed a system and we are on the last step with the power wire. The alarm comes on with the power wire wired onto the battery. The car won't even start, but the lights come on. But the car will start without the power wire on the battery and the alarm doesn't go off.

We tried resetting and that didn't help either. Any suggestions? It's a Kenwood 9102 w a Type R if that helps.

now that's a weird one. if you put the wire on the battery w/o the amp connected wat happens.

actually found out the problem, it was the key. the spare key was used instead of the original one so the alarm kept going off. after using the original key to reset the alarm, everything worked.
