If it still works then don't replace it. Okay.. how did that happen anyway? You don't pull the fuse or disconnect the battery when working on your stereo? Did you touch the ground? Just touching the amp with your power cable shouldn't make it do that.. unless you touched the ground.

    Re: blowb up amp??

Meh I'm lazy like that sometimes... of course it was only a few strands from the 4 gauge wiring that touched the chassis of the amp and made a few sparks and that's pretty much it. There's no way to know if it'll work unless you test it.

like parkrat said it should still work, and it shouldnt have happened UNLESS the ground was involved

    Re: blowb up amp??

A few strands of his ground are probably touching the amps chassis, i have seen lots of installs where that is the case, and peopke don't think it's a big deal until something like that happens. NEVER mess with the power wire(or any other wire for that matter) unless you take the fuse out.

    Re: blowb up amp??

I agree with Boomin granny that no matter how lazy you are you should always disconnect the fuse on and install tweak or whatever else that involves loose wires. And as for your amp you may have slightly damaged it but i wouldn't replace it unless it just quit on you or stopped working like it should.
