BOX?? Whats Box, I have no BOX

Okay I have a Question.. Seems to me that every audio store i go to, they all sugest a differnt box. Well Would SOme one tell me the defference between the Boxes And if 10's or 12s or what not would sound better and hit harder in these boxes.. I have a 1600 watt 4 channel Pyramid Amp. I want to feel a back massage from these subs. I'v seen Before 10% product, 90% install. So what should i do. Im looking to spend about 250 - 300$ for my subs. What subs should i get, and what box.. I will probabaly make my own box to fix the subs.

well w/ the boxes it depends on what your looking for....for sq go w/ a sealed box and probably a couple of 10's maybe some 12's if they are a good sq sub....for spl go w/ the ported box w/ the port tuned to a good frequency....definatly 12's or bigger depending on your needs....then ther is bandpass which very few people will recomend getting...they have a very poor frequency response and are kind of a one note wonder....stay away from those if possible....and as for the subs it depends on if you want spl, sq or a combination of both...let us know and we'll do our best....good luck
