    No ssf on my amp.

This is mt problem, i have one 1400 watt 2ch amp and a 10"rockford punch hx2 dvc. I have made a nice ported box to rockfords spesefications, but my amp doesnt have a subsonic filter. What can i do about this and how will it effect the sound if i hook it all up?

First off what are the specs on your amp ie ft^3 and Hz.

Becuase if your box is tuned low enough say around <30 Hz then you dont need to worry about a ssf.

If its above that then go to that parts express website and look for Harrison Labs F mod in line high pass filters.

    I like that.

Plus - there's really very little music out there that's going to go much below 30hz, so chances are you have nothing to worry about. People have been using ported enclosures for a long time - before SSF's were poplular at all.

I have a similar question...hopefully someone can help. My box is tuned at 38hz....1.25cu. ft. per sub and has a rectangular port in the middle where both ports from each sub merge....anyway, if my amp doesn't have a SSF, should I use a 30hz and up FMod? Or just a 20hz?

Umm if you ask me, I would say a 30 hz and up. Like n2audio said, there isnt a whole lot of music out there that is below 30hz. Matter of fact the only song I can really think that MIGHT be below 30hz would be Get low by Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz.
