best size fuse for Avionixx 800.2?

Just wondering what would be the best size fuse for an Avionixx 800.2 with 4 guage wiring. This is the amp i plan on getting, and i already have the wire, i just need to buy a fuse holder and fuse.

i have the same amp, I'm running 4 gauge wire with a 30A fuse. ED has the amp manual online, go to their site and it should tell u the exact fuse to use. The 30A works fine for me.

are we talking about an inline fuse for the power wire? Or amp fuses. I assume it's the power wire fuse, and well 100 should be alright, 100-120 should be fine.

Re: best size fuse for Avionixx 800.2?

i believe 80A fuse is recommended.

if u go to the ed forum, it's been widely debated. i believe Ben said to use a 80A, contact them or contact avionixx directly to make sure.
but 30A seems small, but if it hasn't pop any fuses yet while going at its full potential then 30A is fine.
