Icon33 HELP! Is it safe to wire 4 ohm subs to home stereo?

I just got these pair of Bazooka 12's and they are 4 ohm's. I was wondering if it is safe to wire these subs to my home stereo. Right now hooked up to my home stereo i have two Rockford Fosgate Punch XLC 10's and they are 8 ohm. Now is it gonna blow my Bazookas if i hook them up to my home reciever?
    or the other way around?
Would running them paralel help any? any help is good.

    Thanx for your time.

Nope not paralell run them in series. That way you would have 8ohm . Check your home reciever alot of them now are okay with 4ohm loads.

I have 6 speakers, and 2 subs hooked up to my receiver, nothing has ever happened to it. It might get hot after 2 hours but thats it. I wonder what load it makes on the receiver oh well.
