    Icon14 Laser show, AC power???

I once saw a really cool laser show put on by a homeade device. It used two car speakers, mirrors and a laser. When music like The Doors or some Classical music was played on the speakers they would project a really cool laser show on the wall.

My question is how do I power the car speakers with AC power and then hook them up to a walkman or home stereo system?

Email me if you know how to power the speakers and hook them to a home stereo system, or if you want the overall specs for the design (it makes some wicked things on the wall).

you couls use a ac/dc converter.

or you can go cheap, and use a computer power supply to do the convertion.

If you want to go with an easier method that still works, get an empty coffee can, cut off both ends. Then stretch a cut up baloon over one end. Attach a small mirror onto the baloon. When the sound hits the baloon membrane, it causes it to move with the sound, and the mirror moves in turn. Then just shine the laser onto the mirror, kill the lights, play some music from any source and it will look really cool.
