    hey man i could help you with this if you need it. my dad is like a vp at genuine parts or somethin like that and gets crazy discounts at napa stores. and i could help put it on for you. im pretty good when it comes to this kinda stuff.

    Look at the numbers on the side of the belt...it should be smaller if the belt is smaller. Also, how well wrapped is your alternator's pulley by the belt (how much of the pulley is being touched by the belt?)?

    Well I bought a shorter belt. Turns out I bought it to short. Put the stock one back on and the noise went away. LOL What happened?!?!?!?!

    you must have just gotten the belt tight enough this time. you can adjust the tightness of the belt usually by just undoing i few bolts on the alt then tightening one and just pulls the alt tight. then tighten the other ones up. as long as the belt does have anymore then half an inch or so of play then you should be fine.

    Well ****. Yesterday it worked fine. Then today when I left for work it only squeeked when I reved it up and wouldnt at idling. Then when I left work it squeaked at all times! Now im back to where I started. What happened that it was fine yesterday then all of sudden its bad again today?
