    Running 0ga power wire?

So Im looking at where its going thru my firewall and where it connects to my battery, thats baout 12" and there is not much room for the fuse. Do most people connect the fuse near the battery or can it be done further down in the cabin? Wanted to check before I cut.

    Thanks

Also is it common to drill new holes in the firewall for the wire? Little room in the grommet hole since the interior harness goes thru there. Thanks

the fuse should be as close to the batt as possible.. and yes definetly watch where your drilling.. its always tough finding the right spot.. and use a gromet when you drill a hole

You really should put the fuse as close to the batt as possible if you got 12 inches put the fuse in there. Itl be alot easier to get to and be more efficient there. And yeah you usually have to drill a hole for 1/0. Just make sure like ^ he said you know where your drilling and use either silicone to seal the excess hole around the wire or buy a special 1/0 grommet to use. Just realized I wrote this while he wrote that ^^

There should be plenty of room for a fuse holder, if you have to just screw it on some metal wherever there is space close to the battery.

    Re: Running 0ga power wire?

I was thinking right above the throttle pedal which puts it almost at a straight shot to the battery. I laid the wiring (kicker thank god that **** is soooo flexible) by my feet as if it were coming out of the hole Im going to make and I could make it work without affecting my pedal. Is this the common spot or I guess every car is different? Im working with a DOdge srt4 (aka Neon)

    Thanks guys!

Yea mount the fuse holder pretty close to the battery. I drilled a hole for a ground in my floor last week. Just be sure to double check for wiring, lines, and anything else in the way before even starting to drill.
