How do i mount amp behind seat in extended cab truck?

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado extended cab truck. I do not want to alter the rear seat at all. It has enough space behind the rear seat to mount the amp on the back of the cab, but how do I go about doing it? I need to move my amps out from under the seat, at least the big Zapco ref 750.

How do you do it without drilling through the back of the cab>

I know this is a silly question, but i just dont have enough experience doing installs.
Do I mount 1/2 particle board back there first?????

Im feeling pretty stupid so please put me out of my misery.

    Thanks

usually the carpet that is behind the seat's has a hard plastic that you can screw into.. if not mount it to the back of the seat, or under the driver or pass seat's...

there usually is enough room under the rear seat's to mount amps...

I have 3 amps. The ref 750 is BIG. I am thinking about 2 10s under the seat. i will not have enough room for all of that under the seat.

Seems like a pretty heavy amp to mounton the back of the seat??

so, in other words, you want to mount an amp on the back of the cab without putting any holes, or in other words, without using screws or anything.....

if i was you, i would get rubber washers and just use sheet metal tapping screws and moutn it to the back of the cab. the holes will be tiny.

Re: How do i mount amp behind seat in extended cab truck?

Well that was kind of my question. I see pics of people's setups with amps mounted on the back of the cab. i just wasnt sure if there was any way to do it wihout putting holes in the cab. Im assuming that is a no.

I think I may start next week, I just want to be sure i am not going to do something that will mess anything up. is water a possible issue? do the screws need to be sealed with anything??

Re: How do i mount amp behind seat in extended cab truck?

I have a 00 Silverado ext cab and have my amps mounted to the back wall. I removed the rear seat and the foam padding on the back wall and used liquid nails to mount 1"x2" slats to the the metal. Then I screwd a peice of MDF to the slats and mounted the amps to MDF.
