RCA "plug" stuck inside of amp

Today I found out that the RCA "plug" broke off and it's stuck inside of the RCA hole of the amp. How the hell am I suppose to get it out? I've tried to get pliers and pull the RCA ring off of the amp, but it's stuck.

It's a mono amp for the sub, so is both channels necessary? Could I go on with just the Right channel?

If all else fails, and you're handy with a soldering iron, you could always open it up and solder in a new RCA input if you can find one that is the exact same. I had to do this awhile back to a friends Profile amp. It's not hard if you're good with soldering.

    I don't understand what you're saying now.

The jack (stick thing) on the RCA wire broke off and is stuck inside the hole of the amp.

Is there any other way besides soldering? If not, is it still possible to pull the RCA out if I needed to? I guess I'll just tape it on for now.
I meant that when you open up the amp, the female connector that is soldered to the board, if you can find one that is the exact same as the connecter in the amp, you could solder a new one in it's place.

So I would have to take the old female connector on the amp and replace it with a new one?

or solder a pin to it an pull it out,.

or take a piece of paper and try to shimmy it out.

Re: RCA "plug" stuck inside of amp

Try using some puddy or one of those soft gray erasers. Mash it onto the connector and see if the pin comes out when you pull it off. Don't use clay or anything that leaves residue.

That's about all I can think of.

How the hell did this happen? And what brand of RCAs are you using? I've never heard of this and I want to know what brand to avoid...

It's stuck pretty far in there. I can't even see it anymore.

Really? If so, there's no need to mess with it then.

Kicker. I think it was my fault, just don't know how it happened.

    Really?

    That's surprising.

I'm using Pyle and Scosche RCAs and they seem as solid as any other RCA cables I've ever seen.

Re: RCA "plug" stuck inside of amp

Another thing you could try is a desoldering tool. Also known as a "solder sucker".

Or maybe a vaccuum cleaner with a small nozzle on it.

Unless its really stuck in there good, either should **** it right out of there or at least move it enough for you to get to it. If its completely jammed in there, you'll most likely have to open up your amp to get to the connector from the other side.
