Icon32 newbie needs help with subbox??

I have a 2001 chevy extra cab. I have 2 alpine 10" type R subs that I was going to installthem under the back seat firing forward. But now Ive been told that I can mount them firing down or up. I dont know which would sound best. Any suggestions???? Thanks.

Well I have a Ranger Super Cab and have mounted
my subs in every direction imaginable. UP DOWN FORWARD BACKWARD

Couldn't tell any difference in sound.
I know speaker position can be critical in many vehicles
so you will probably have to experiment to get the best results.

It might be a good idea to mount them so nobody accidently puts
a foot in your subwoofer and tears it up. Down or Back or Up

BTW I was born in Colorado Springs!
